Tim Hare is the co-founder (along with his brother David) of Harbro Sales & Service, Inc. Together, in 1973, Tim and Dave began Harbro on Linwood Avenue in Whitinsville in a small, sometimes crowded service station.
At the beginning, Harbro provided mostly just expert automotive repair services. Tim was a highly-trained auto technician, and Dave was a self-taught automotive diagnostician and clever all around problem solver.
Together, Dave and Tim earned the trust and the dedication of what would amount to a very large following of repeat customers from miles around and from all walks of life. Folks knew their cars would be given nothing but 'tender-loving-care' at Harbro!
Not too long after they started Harbro, they began to see a need and an opportunity to grow Harbro's presence and impact on the community and the automotive industry at large; by selling top-quality, industry-exclusive guaranteed used vehicles to a market that was more than ready for the positive changes Harbro Sales & Service, Inc. was offering; and the rest, as they say, is history!
Mike has been working at Harbro for as long as he can remember. He was photographed by the Telegram & Gazette at age 11 washing the front lot, a photo that proudly hung in Tim Hare's office for years.
Mike sold his first car at age 15, and after managing Depend-A-Car Rentals for much of the late 1990's, Mike took over as branch manager of Harbro Webster. Mike graduated with a business degree from Worcester State College. Mike is certified by the NADA School for Dealers, and along with his father Tim he graduated from Northwood Univeristy's CMD program, becoming the 1st Certified Master Dealers in New England.
Mike lives on a small farm locally with his wife, 3 sons, and several animals.

As early as age 10, Mark could be found washing cars in Harbro's busy recon center. After working through high school, Mark maintained a full-time position as assistant manager of Harbro's Webster branch while attending Worcester State College. Mark graduated with a degree in English, and took on the role of Director of Service. Over the years, Mark has held nearly every position at Harbro, including Salesman, Service Manager, Inventory Manager, and finally Director.
Mark currently spends several days each week traveling throughout New England hand selecting pre-owned vehicles that meet Harbro's rigid quality demands. He claims that good customer service begins with a good product, and views thousands of vehicles every week in search of the highest quality pre-owned cars that Harbro demands.
When I started in this business as a phone representative, I never realized how great and fun the automotive world could be.After working in the Ford network for a very long time I felt that it was time for a change, time to get back in my community, and time to do what was right.
I bought my first car from Harbro close to 20 years ago and knew then that I was hooked. I searched and searched for the right position at the right dealership all the while not remembering what sparked my enthusiasm to begin with, Harbro. My goal is to make every client feel as good as I did the day I took delivery of that car so many years ago. It doesn't matter if it is a Chrysler, a Ford, or a Mercedes I want everyone to feel like a million bucks.
"If you take the time to do it right, you'll never have to take the time to do it again"
Dave started his tenure at Harbro years ago as a salesman. He quickly learned that as much fun as it was to sell cars, it was even more fun to buy them. He now spends his days traveling New England (and most of the eastern time zone) to track down your dream car.
On his rare day off you will often find him in front of a grill, on a mountain side, or tracking down the newest craft beer release. Go Patriots!

I have worked in administrative/clerical positions for the last 5 years and worked closely with marketing and sales the last four of those years. I enjoy working for a company that has such strong values and treats every single one of their employees like family. Having the opportunity to be a part of Harbro's team and to see how much they care about every customer individually is refreshing and rewarding.
I love working with customer's and making sure their experience here is a great one!

Pat started in the garage and car business 50 years ago. This taught him that this is "not a black and white business" Starting out as a part time employee at Leroy's, he left the company when it was sold. He continued in the business by working part time at General Automotive, later becoming a full time employee in late 1962. Up until Pat met Tim Hare and became a good friend of his, he was working days with no sleep. He met Tim when he was working at J&S Motors, he would always be coming to see Pat at General.
Keeping himself out of trouble, Pat took on the position of Working Manager at General, and would spend the free time he got from his 80-hour work weeks at Harbro helping out Tim and his brother Dave any way he could.
When Tim built the new location, Pat helped supply them with equipment. Pat would take time off from his job to go up to New York with Tim to buy cars. Pat started enjoying his time at Harbro so much, that after 17 years of working for General's, he left and began working full time at Harbro in 1990.
